ENI

Tuesday morning July 9, 2013

We woke up and stepped outside to a welcoming committee. The sun seemed brighter at ENi.  Many of the villagers that remembered Paul's parents came to see our family. The warmly greeted us with Liberian hugs and big smiles.

This is Lucy. She cooked for our family outside on open fires. Our favorite meal was rice and beans with porcupine meat!
They set up a table for all eight of us under a thatched palava hut. Lucy's children would carry out the food on beautiful serving dishes.
The inside of the thatch roof where we ate. The roof is made from a special swap plant called "thatch".
Robert Chi and Paul next to our very dirty Toyota Thundra. Robert was a good friend to the Chinchens. Robert is a now clan chief.
The water pump where we get out water for bathing and the toilets.
ENI school building. ENI High School finished first in their county for national exam scores and third for the entire country of Liberia.
Paul with Rev. Weiasa - the principal of ENI High School.  Paul's mother was once the Principal when they lived on the mission 44 years ago! He gave us a tour of the school and walked with us through the mission.
